The Valley Mall Shopping Complex is a shopping destination unlike others that are available in Central Washington. Comprised of over 85 specialty merchants, the Valley Mall Shopping Complex includes Valley Mall, Valley Mall Plaza and the Valley Mall Annex. Located just south of Yakima in Union Gap, the Valley Mall Shopping Complex and our neighbors provide a wealth of shopping and entertainment opportunities that are only minutes away from anywhere in the Valley.
Valley Mall
Valley Mall was built in 1972 as a freestanding, enclosed regional mall. The enclosed center consists of nearly 590,000 sq. ft of department store and specialty retail space with merchants that include, Macy's, Sears, Gottschalks, Finish Line, Motherhood Maternity and more. Following the purchase of the mall by Center Oak Properties, of Gresham, Oregon the Center received a dramatic renovation and re-tenanting in 2001. In addition to a complete interior and exterior renovation, Center Oak Properties expanded the shopping opportunities in the Valley by developing the Valley Mall Plaza located on the Northeast corner side of the mall.
Valley Mall Plaza
Valley Mall Plaza is immediately adjacent to Valley Mall and consists of over 140,000 sq. ft. The Plaza offers the Yakima Valley the opportunity to shop merchants that have only recently begun to locate in Central Washington . Some of the largest Plaza merchants include: Linens-n-Things, Borders Books, TJ Maxx, Famous Footwear and Old Navy.
Valley Mall Annex
Retailers and consumers continue to flock to the Union Gap area, and in order to accommodate the increase demand for retail space the Valley Mall shopping complex continues to expand. Recently opened in July, 2005, the Valley Mall Annex consists of over 16,000 sq. ft and houses Starbucks Coffee, Cold Stone Creamery, Hairmasters and others. The Annex is located on the Northwest side of Valley Mall and can be accessed off of Main Street.
